Draft — Alpha Operating Policy
This document is an operating draft for ScriptVault's public alpha. It has not been reviewed by a legal professional and does not constitute legal advice. It will be updated before broader public release.
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines what users, server owners, and staff may and may not do when using ScriptVault. It applies alongside the Terms of Service.
2. Permitted Uses
You may use ScriptVault to:
- Build and manage a private GPC script library for your Discord server
- Upload, organize, search, and download
.gpc script files within your server - Configure staff roles, approval workflows, and library settings
- View analytics for your server's library
- Report scripts that violate policies
- Use bulk tools within your plan limits
- Export your library's metadata
3. Prohibited Content
You must not upload or store content that:
- Contains malware, keyloggers, ransomware, or other malicious code
- Violates applicable laws or regulations
- Infringes intellectual property rights of others
- Contains unauthorized copies of commercial software or scripts
- Includes personally identifiable information about real individuals without consent
- Is sexually explicit, hateful, or otherwise prohibited under Discord's Terms of Service
4. Prohibited Actions
You must not:
- Isolation violations: Attempt to access, view, or modify data belonging to another server's library
- Limit circumvention: Use automated tools, bot accounts, or other methods to exceed plan limits or rate limits
- Spam: Send repeated identical or near-identical commands to degrade service quality
- Misuse of reports: Submit false, malicious, or harassing reports against other users or scripts
- Harassment: Use ScriptVault features to target, threaten, or intimidate other users
- Platform violations: Use ScriptVault in ways that violate Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines
- Security testing without authorization: Probe ScriptVault for vulnerabilities without express written permission from Viridex Systems
5. Staff Conduct
Library Managers and Upload Managers must:
- Use their elevated access only for its intended purpose
- Not approve scripts that violate this AUP or the Terms of Service
- Handle reports fairly and without bias
- Not use admin commands to harass or target server members
6. Enforcement
Violations of this AUP may result in:
- Rejection or removal of specific scripts
- Temporary suspension of upload privileges for a guild
- Suspension of the guild's library access
- Permanent removal of the library
- Reporting to Discord for platform-level violations
Severity of enforcement depends on severity of the violation and prior history. Viridex Systems may act without prior warning in cases of severe or clear violations.
7. Reporting Violations
Use /script report in Discord to report a script. For policy or safety concerns, see the Content Reporting Policy.
